I love learning, visiting, and researching history and archaeology, deep diving into hidden or unknown stories, and bringing them all into the world in an accessible way.

My Passion

Researching and writing the histories people haven’t heard of is one of my biggest passions in life. It’s incredibly fulfilling to have the opportunity to uncover someone’s story or some hidden detail, and bring it to the forefront for others to enjoy. When I have the opportunity, I always try to travel and track down the museums and heritage sites where those stories live, there’s nothing like standing in history. .

If you’re wondering where I am, check the nearest museum. I tend to insist on visiting every museum within a mile of wherever I may be, and I’m usually equally excited about the small, under-visited museum down the street as I am the main attraction of a tourist destination.

I will never be one of those writers who say to skip the main destination: they’re significant for a reason and worth it!

What I will do is highlight the other places around that destination as well, that are just as interesting, but don’t get as much love.

My background spans public history, archaeology, and nearly ten years in digital marketing. I’ve worked with the National Park Service, small house museums, archives, and community heritage organizations as a docent, archaeologist, archivist, and researcher: all roles dedicated to translating history for the public.
